What is Daily Gold?

Daily Gold is completely natural bentonite clay with 60+ naturally occurring trace minerals that benefit horses. Redmond’s bentonite clay was born in the depths of an active volcano. When the volcano erupted, it settled as volcanic ash into an ancient sea and weathered into bentonite clay.

Can I increase the dose of Daily Gold Mood Support if my horse needs additional gut support?

Each serving of Daily Gold Mood Support contains carefully measured amounts of raspberry leaves and chasteberry to provide your horse with an optimal daily dose. Do not feed more than the recommended serving of Daily Gold Mood Support. If your horse needs extra gut support, you can safely add an additional ounce of Daily Gold Powder or ½ cup of Pellets to feed.

Is Daily Gold Mood Support safe to feed long-term?

Absolutely! There are no known side effects to feeding chasteberry and raspberry leaves long-term. You can confidently give your horse Daily Gold Mood Support every day for as long as needed. When your horse no longer requires mood support, simply switch to regular Daily Gold Powder or Pellets to maintain a healthy gut.

Can I feed Daily Gold Mood Support to my pregnant mare?

Because Daily Gold Mood impacts hormones and uterine tone, we don't recommend feeding it to mares during pregnancy. Raspberry leaf, however, which is included in Daily Gold Mood, may be helpful late in a pregnancy to help with foaling. You should always consult with your veterinarian or equine nutritionist to determine the best answer for your horse. Switch to Daily Gold Powder or Pellets during mare pregnancy for continued gut support.

Will Daily Gold stop my horse eating dirt?

Though there isn’t one particular reason why horses eat dirt, it is a natural activity in moderation. Horses eat small amounts of dirt daily. If they are seeking it out too often, however, they may be looking for clay. Clays contain very absorbent particles which can buffer acid and bind up toxins, certain bacteria, and other potentially harmful substances in the gut. The bound toxins are then removed from the body in the manure. Daily Gold is an effective bentonite clay horse digestive supplement that can reduce dirt eating.

How long will one pouch of Daily Gold last one horse?

For average horses, feed 2 ounces (4 Tbsp) of Daily Gold per horse per day. One 4.5-lb pouch of Daily Gold Mood Support contains 72 ounces of product, which should last one horse 36 days on a maintenance program.

If I feed Daily Gold and other mineral supplements, am I over-supplementing?

The broad spectrum of sea minerals in Daily Gold are in trace, or very small amounts. It is completely safe to feed Daily Gold with other mineral products.

Can I use Daily Gold at the same time as other Redmond products?

• If you are administering antibiotics or other pharmaceuticals to your horse, we recommend feeding Daily Gold at least three hours after.
• Things to watch for: If you’ve used Daily Gold for seven days and your horse still has loose manure, you notice an increase in loose manure, or if at any point your horse acts lethargic and/or loses his appetite, contact your veterinarian immediately.
